About the artist

Introduction

I am a 22 year old, self taught artist, working hard at what I love the most and have been doing so for the last 3 years! Painting your gorgeous pets is the absolute highlight of my life…and it quite literally is, as I work with the brightest colours to create statement pieces to treasure for a lifetime! I try to not take life too seriously and am a go-with-the-flow kinda gal. I’m loving where its taken me and I take great pride in my accomplishments so far!

Come follow my journey!

The Earlier Days

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved being creative. As I grew up, Art was the only subject I ever really looked forward to and had a huge interest in. My enthusiasm for this subject reached new heights during Art GCSE and A level, where I had the freedom to experiment with various materials and mediums. In A level Art, I found myself drawn to mixed media, often incorporating a vibrant array of watercolors, acrylic paints, and biro pens. I was also fascinated by a self-taught technique: Acrylic Pours.

Acrylic Pours

I absolutely LOVED working with Acrylic Pours! During a work experience opportunity, I seized the chance to showcase a collection of my acrylic pour paintings in a bathroom showroom located in Bath, UK. I felt incredibly fortunate to have this opportunity, and to my delight, every painting found a new home, making it a truly rewarding experience.

Working In Colour

My Artistic Identity

Working with vibrant colours has almost been a personal coping mechanism during challenging times. That's why, during my A-level Art studies, I began gravitating towards colour, using them to escape the chaos and stress that school life brings. In 2019, my colourful work gained recognition, marking the start of my journey in creating pet portraits. As this journey gained momentum like a snowball rolling downhill, so did the arrival of COVID. Immersing myself into a world of colour every day during self-isolation (due to my high-risk status post-Crohns diagnosis in early 2020), provided a profound distraction from my new health-related concerns and the additional stress of being vulnerable to COVID. But I also cherished this opportunity to share and craft these portraits during the dreary days of the pandemic, aiming to infuse genuine joy and upliftment to anyone who invested or saw my artwork on social media. I think we all needed a touch of positivity. My goal has always been simple: to bring a smile to your face and brighten your day, even if just a little and I'm eager to continue doing so.
